This is a weekend of special training for competitive level sabre fencers (or those who wish to get a taste of what it is like to train like a competitive fencer!).   • Friday, September 20
    • 6-9 PM Technical Footwork and Drills
  • Saturday, September 21
    • 10 AM - Noon All Intensive participants are welcome to join in our regular Saturday morning bouting practice however, this practice is not part of the Intensive.
    • Noon - 1 PM Lunch
    • 1 - 2 PM Agility Training with Steve Jeffers
    • 2 - 5 PM Techincal Drills and Bouting Practice
  • Sunday, September 22
    • 10 AM - 11 AM Athlete Yoga with Marsha Stewart
    • 11 AM - Noon Situation Bouting
    • Noon - 1 PM Lunch
    • 1 PM - 4 PM Situational and Sharp Bouting
Intended Audience and Requirements
    Fencers with at least 6 months experience ages 12 and up (younger with permission of the staff). Bring full gear (including knickers) for use during all beadwork drills. Bring full electrical gear for bouting. All participants must be USA Fencing members.
Focus
    The focus of the Fall 2019 Intensive will be transitioning from the off-the-line game to the mobile game. A variety of training modalities will be employed including technical footwork practice, drills, and situational and tactical bouting.
Costs
  • $125 per person for the weekend (you won't find a better deal for a focused weekend of training like this!).
  • $75 for CEFC Recreational Program members.

Private lessons
    Individual lessons are available before and after the main training times. Please contact Coach David at coachdavid@cuttingedgefencing.com to schedule. Lessons are $30 for 20 minute session.
About the facility
    Cutting Edge Fencing Center is a modern training space dedicated to teaching the Olympic Sport of Sabre Fencing. We have over 7300 sq ft of climate-controlled training space, with 10 full size metal strips with electronic scoring and integrated replay. We have a comprehensive in-house strength training center for the use of our athletes and guests.

    We offer group classes, individual lessons and athletic training, as well as special events such as birthday parties, team building workshops, and fencing demos.
