Rylan Delap, an international referee and referee instructor, brings an official seminar to NC. Empower yourself by learning how referees parse actions and interpret the rules!

US Fencing Referee Certification Seminar:


Come improve your understanding of fencing rules and their applications with international referee Rylan Delap. The clinic will cover the knowledge and practical skills needed to become and grow as a US Fencing Referee. By discussing rule interpretations and officiating procedures, we'll help athletes, coaches, and parents advocate for themselves and deepen their understanding of the game in all three weapons. In addition, refereeing is a great way to contribute back to the sport.

Cost:


  • $105 / person ($5 discount if paid via cash/check/club invoice)
  • 50% discount for current referees, university students, and A-, B- and C- rated fencers.


Schedule of Events:


Saturday, May 18


  • 12 - 2pm (optional) : Attend RTF advanced foil practice (other weapons welcome, we'll work you out!). Refereeing activities will be included in practice.
  • 2 - 5pm : Referee Seminar (part 1)


Sunday, May 19


  • 9am - 12pm : Referee Seminar (part 2)
  • 1pm - 4pm : Practical Exams / Tournament
