2022 GA Division SN Qualifiers & Annual Meeting

PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND THE DIVISION GENERAL MEETING AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS ON SATURDAY, MAY 14TH AT 4PM OR AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF FENCING WHICHEVER IS LATER. A ZOOM LINK WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL BLAST FROM USA FENCING CLOSER TO THE DATE FOR THOSE WHO PREFER TO ATTEND VIRTUALLY. BE SURE YOU HAVE UPDATED YOUR USA FENCING MEMBERSHIP PROFILE WITH YOUR CURRENT EMAIL ADDRESS COVID Protocols will be followed. Masks are required to be worn covering both the mouth and the nose by all staff, coaches, spectators and fencers (including while fencing). Social distancing is requested when practical. While we are not limiting how many people fencers can bring, we do ask that you be mindful and not bring more than 2 or 3 people, including your coach in that number. Pre-Registration and payment ($25 registration and $25 per event) on AskFRED is mandatory! All payments are non-refundable except in the case of medical withdrawals. See additional info below. You MUST pay on AskFRED by April 30th for your registration to be considered complete. If there are any issues with online payment, contact Charise Munlin at secretary@georgia-fencing.com Late registrations, MAY be taken at the discretion of the tournament organizers as long as they do not affect the strip or referee assignments. Late registrations will be accepted at the cost of the Registration fee PLUS TRIPLE THE ENTRY FEE(for example $100 for one event, $175 for two events, etc) Please contact Charise Munlin secretary@georgia-fencing.com, if you need to request this option. Late registrations will NOT be accepted for events with 3 or fewer registered fencers at the time of the April 30th registration deadline. There will be NO refunds allowed, even if your event does not fence, except for medical withdrawals. The medical withdrawal must be accompanied by a note from a physician. Medical withdrawals during the tournament are not eligible for any refunds. Make sure your email address is updated on your AskFRED profile. Important tournament updates will be sent via email. Please check your email (including your SPAM) for schedule updates after April 30, 2022. Proper equipment and clothing is required. Masks, body cords, and lames will be checked by the armorer. Please complete the attached waiver. Be sure to bring the completed waiver with you. You will need to present the completed waiver at check in. USA Fencing membership is required. You must have proof of USA Fencing membership and your membership number at the time of registration. To become a member please go to https://www.usafencing.org/membership. Fencers attending the Y14 events must also show proof of age. Examples of acceptable types of proof, copy of birth certificate, driver's license, state id, USFA membership card that indicates age has been verified. You may take a picture of your acceptable document with your cell phone and present the picture at check in. This is a closed tournament, open to members of the Georgia Division only. DIVISION II CHAMPIONSHIPS Eligibility: Fencers must have a classification in the weapon of C, D, E, or Unclassified at the time of the qualifying competition and be 13 years of age by January 1 of the current season. Qualification: Fencers must Place in the top 25% of the total number of fencers competing in the 2022 Georgia Division Division II Qualifying competition OR Be on the current season's DIV I-A Regional Open Circuit (ROC) Regional Point Standings OR Be on the DIV II ROC Regional Point Standings OR Place in the top 40% of any current season DIV II or DIV I NAC DIVISION III CHAMPIONSHIPS Eligibility: Fencers must have a classification in the weapon of D, E, or Unclassified at the time of the qualifying competition AND be at least 13 years old by January 1 of the current season. Qualification: Fencers must Place in the top 25% of the total number of fencers competing in the 2022 Georgia Division DIV III OR DIV II Qualifying competition OR Be on the Division I-A or Division II Regional Open Circuit point standings, if classification eligible, on TBD OR Place in the top 40% at 2022 DIV III, DIV II or DIV I NAC OR Qualified for Division II, if classification eligible YOUTH 14 CHAMPIONSHIPS Eligibility: Fencers must have been born between 2007 and 2010. Qualifying Path: Be on the Youth 14 point standings as of TBD OR Place in the top 25% of the 2022 Georgia Division Division Youth 14 Qualifying competition OR Be in the top 16 of the Y12 national point standings on TBD OR Earn at least 150 Y14 Regional Points during the current season(Total points = fencer's top 3 point results) Veteran (V40, V50, V60, V70+) National Championship Eligibility: For each Veteran age group fencers must meet the birth years specified in Table 2.5.1 Qualification: Must meet eligibility requirements above AND Compete in the current season's division qualifying competition for Division II and/or Division III Championships OR Compete in any ROC event during the current season OR Compete in any NAC during the current season OR Be on the Veteran Age Group national rolling points standings (NRPS) by TBD OR Be on the Veteran Combined regional point standings by TBD
