Okanagan Winter Tournament 2024

Welcome to the Okanagan! We invite you to join in this unsanctioned local tournament designed to bring together competitors of all ranges of experience from a range of locations. This tournament will be used to give new fencers a safe place to learn about tournaments and students to learn how to referee and compete.

We even have Novice events. A novice is any fencer with1 year or less

experience OR someone who has never earned a medal in a tournament. Please register and come time of the event we will make 1-2 separate groups based on age, number of participants, and experience. We recommend fencers aged 11 and older.

Registration Fee is $40 (paid once per fencer)

$30 per event: Y14, Cadet, Junior, Senior and Vets

How to Pay:

Please send e-transfers to OFFencingClub@gmail.com with the fencers name and events in the message. We also accept cash or checks made out to O.F.F.

When to show up:

Event times are when the events CLOSE off, we try to start asap after the event registration closing, but we cannot start until other events are finished or near finished.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to events closing to check in and stretch.

Parking:

On Friday evening and Sunday all day we have full access to the lot. On Saturday we share the space with Industrial plastics so you may need to park across the street, or there will be parking in the back.

Spectating:

There will be seating and an upstairs mezzanine but it could pose a hazard for young children. There will be some seating space downstairs but the viewing deck will be open for parents.

Shared space:

We do share our space with a crafts studio who may or may not be running some kids events. If they are not we are welcome to use the foyer to loiter and relax.
