Note This is a Old AskFRED event. Registrations and results are all correct, but some other data could be missing.
The Amarillo Competitive Fencing Association is pleased to announce the 20th annual Amarillo Open Fencing Tournament. This tournament will be a USFA Sanctioned Event. All events will be held on plate metal grounded strips.
We will have box lunches available for purchase.

EVENTS SCHEDULED
Fencing will commence for each event as soon as possible after close of registration. Please arrive sufficiently early so you will be ready to fence when registration closes. The venue will be open at approximately 8:30 a.m. both days.
Saturday October 5th
9:00 AM - Senior Mixed Epee
12:00 PM - DIV3(D & under) Senior Mixed Epee
2:00 PM - Junior Mixed Epee
REGISTRATION is $25
EVENT FEES
$20 per fencer for each Senior, Junior or Team event

If you are flying - Nonstop commercial service is available from Dallas Love Field, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Houston-Bush Intercontinental Airport, Denver International Airport, Las Vegas McCarran International Airport and Memphis International Airport. Amarillo is served by American and Southwest airlines.
If you are driving - Amarillo is located on I-40 between Albuquerque and Oklahoma City, and on HWY 287 between Denver and Dallas/Fort Worth. Amarillo is an easy four-hour drive from either Albuquerque or Oklahoma City, a five-hour drive from Fort Worth, and a seven-hour drive from Denver or El Paso.
Well over 50 hotels and many more restaurants within 5-10 minutes of the venue will accommodate any budget and need.

AWARDS
Medals for the top 4 fencers will be awarded for all events(tie for 3rd place).
USFA RULES
All USFA rules will be enforced in the tournament. Please bring proof of USFA membership to compete.
COMPETITION FORMAT
Standard USFA pool format with 100 percent advancing to direct elimination with no repecharge.
ARMORER
The tournament will have an armorer check fencing equipment before each competition and to assist with equipment problems during the tournament.
