This is an official referee clinic that is required for any prospective USA Fencing referee. There will be an opportunity to practice what you've learned immediately following the clinic. Attending an official RC-sanctioned clinic is a prerequisite for becoming a certified USA Fencing referee, along with successful completion of a written exam. Once a passing score (90%) has been achieved on the written exam (both the general section and one or more weapon-specific sections) a referee receives a "P" rating. Once you have taken the seminar and passed the written exam, you can be evaluated for a numeric rating (1-10) at a tournament. Doors open at 8:00, seminar run 8:30-5:30. LOCATION: Riverview Fencing Academy 257C Wanaque Ave Pompton Lakes NJ 07442 Lunch is not provided, however pizza will be ordered at a nominal cost. Seminar fee $75.00 in advance, $85.00 at the door.
