Youth tournament open to all MI Youth. Will be fenced gender specific. Y10/12/14 are sanctioned requiring USA Fencing Membership; Y8 is not, no USA Fencing membership required for Y8. Medals to top 8! Cool prizes for first place! More info to follow!
This event is limited to Michigan Division fencers only and will be fenced gender specific unless there are less than 5 registered for a senior event these may be combined - youth events will probably remain gender specific, depending of the number of entries. Y8 is UnSanctioned; Y10/12/14 are all sanctioned events, thus Y10/12/14 all require USA Fencing Membership.
Registration times are subject to change, depending on registration numbers.
Age requirement for Senior Open: born in 2010 or earlier. Must have current USA Fencing Membership.
Age requirement for Youth events, ALL YOUTH FENCERS MUST BRING PROOF OF BIRTH YEAR (COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR PASSPORT SHOWING YEAR BORN) IF AGE NOT VERIFIED BY USA FENCING!!!
Ages:
Y14: Born 2009-2012
Y12: Born 2011-2014
Y10: Born 2013-2016
Y8: Born 2015-2017 (unsanctioned, no USA Fencing Membership required)
Fees: $60 per event late registration starts 6/11/24.
PAYMENT may be made at the door via cash or check, or in advance, through the Ask Fred platform. Please note that you are also able to refund yourself through this platform as well. We will accept payment at the door via cash or check only, check made payable to USA Fencing MI Division.
Equipment Check:
Mask and glove equipment check will be in effect for this event. Leon Paul mask strap requirement: Fencers who wear the Leon Paul X-Change Contour Fit Fencing Mask will be required to use the Leon Paul Contour-Fit Plus mask strap.
Gloves with holes, rips, tape or loose seams will not be approved. Saber FIE glove required.
