The gym is the two story building in the corner of the large parking lot. The entrance to the parking lot is on 45th Street. WAIVER: Please download and complete the waiver (see link near top of page) and bring it with you to the competition. FEES: PREREGISTER AND PAY ON ASK FRED: $20 Registration $15 Per weapon PAY AT THE DOOR: Fees for registering at the door, or for fencers who preregistered but did not prepay: $25 Registration $20 Per weapon For payments at the door: Please make checks payable to Austin Fencers Club. USA FENGING MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT: A USA Fencing membership is required for all fencers. You can fence if you have an ACTIVE or a COMPETITIVE membership. For information on joining USA Fencing, see https://member.usafencing.org/membership-types COVID INFORMATION: At the time of publishing this event, COVID (ie cloth or surgical) masks are optional but recommended for *vaccinated* fencers and spectators. If you are unvaccinated, a cloth or surgical mask is required at all times while you are in the venue. If the Austin area moves above a 7-day rolling average of 20 hospitalizations per day, we may change this requirement to mandatory masking for all fencers and attendees regardless of vaccination status. If you cannot fence while wearing a cloth or surgical mask, do not register for this tournament. SCHEDULE: Saturday 10:00 - Youth 10 Mixed Foil (awards to top 8) 12:00 - Youth 14 Mixed Foil (awards to top 4) 2:00 - Youth 12 Mixed Foil (awards to top 8) AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to the top 8 in Y10 events. Medals will be awarded to the top 4 in Y12 and Y14 events. (Awards are not gender based) PROOF OF AGE Fencers in all events must show proof of age at registration, in one of these formats: - USFA card showing date of birth with VERFIED:YES - copy of birth certificate or passport - government photo ID showing date of birth - see https://www.usafencing.org/age-classification-eligibility to verify which age groups you are eligible to compete in. Note about proof of age: it is a good idea to contact the USFA and provide them proof of age; then the USFA will mark your membership as "Verified:Yes" on your USFA card, and you won't have to bother with additional forms of proof of age any longer.
