Camp Energy will consist of five days of intensive training to enhance your footwork and fencing technique. Camp Energy will include: Private individual video analysis Fencing Tournament On-strip coaching

WHERE: Salle Mauro Fencing Academy facility with 16 Electric strips: 4007 EE Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77025. For more information contact Noura Younis at 832-778-8745 WHEN: Beginning on Monday, August 12th- Friday, August 16th 9:00 AM -3:00 PM. WHO: The Training Camp is open for both Intermediate and advanced fencers. PROGRAM: Daily training and individual instruction will be geared to help the fencer. Strengthen fundamentals and tactical skills. Extensive electrical bouting will take place each afternoon during which coaches will providefeedback on technique and on-strip strategies. TO REGISTER: The fee for the camp is $550 Register by June 15th and get $100 off. Your application and a $200 non-refundable deposit are due by June 15th. Late applications will be accepted, along with a $25 late fee, if space is available. Lodging for campers with some of our local fencers will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Please specify on your application that you need lodging. Lunch is daily around noon. There are several restaurants in easy walking distance of the club. Any fencer eligible to fence in a youth event (-10, -12, -14) needs to bring a permission slip from their parent or guardian to leave the facility for lunch. Youth fencers will still need to travel with older fencers to go to local restaurants. Fencers should bring their own food and drinks if they don't wish to leave at lunch. Training Regimen The camp will cover both basic and advanced tactics for fencers. Additionally, time will be spent on mental preparation, nutrition, physical training tips, and footwork and bladework drills. Extensive electrical fencing will be done daily, so fencers need to be sure to bring at least 2 working sets daily. An armorer will be available for hire should fencers need equipment repaired.
