San Diego Cup - Jr. Foil, Epee and Saber

Events Scheduled: Junior (U20) Women's Foil Junior (U20) Men's Foil Junior (U20) Women's Epee Junior (U20) Men's Epee Junior (U20) Women's Sabre Junior (U20) Men's Sabre The San Diego Cup, High School is a series of tournaments held over the course of the season designed to name an overall Champion for all weapons at the end of the season. Cup points awarded to the top 32 finishers. There will be 5 total competitions; the top 4 results counting toward the final total. These are SANCTIONED USFA Jr. events, open to anyone with birth years 1994 – 2000, and medals will be awarded at the event for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Results will be culled to High School fencers only for the San Diego Cup Series and end-of-the-year results. Tournament Format: Standard- Single round of pools, 100% promotion to single Direct elimination table. Equipment Check: Mask and glove checks will be done at the armory table. Gloves with a body cord slit, holes, rips, tape or loose seams will not be approved. Volunteers: Please help us run the events even smoother by volunteering. Fencers and supporters alike will benefit from learning the process from start to finish. This knowledge will assuredly give you a competitive edge.
