MSFA "Big Swords " MIXED Foil & Epee

The Big Decorative Swords were a hit at our "Season Opener". Both events will again have a large decorative sword mounted on a plaque as an additional prize for each first place. Awards Photos will be posted on the MSFA Facebook page soon. The price per event (pre-register on FRED by midnight on September 18th) is $30.00. Starting on Monday the 19th of September, pre-registration on Fred goes up to $40.00 per event. Pre-registration closes on Friday the 23rd of September at midnight. After that, only entries at the door are allowed and the fee will be will be $50.00 per event. Very important!!! Early registration does everyone a huge favor. We need to plan, we need to acquire referees, etc. Please make sure you have a current (2016-2017) USFA competitive membership. You won't be able to join at the tournament. We limit the size of our meets for safety (venue size) and to control quality and the time-frame. This meet will have a maximum number of 35 fencers (5 pools of 7, in one flight) allowed in each event. At check-in: You will need to pay the entry fee, show your USA Fencing competitive membership card, fill out a waiver (if not on file) and submit your mask(s) and your glove(s) for a safety inspection. FORMAT: Format will be pool(s) and Direct Elimination 15 touch matches. Events Scheduled: Mixed Foil: 8:30AM, end of registration. Mixed Epee: 12:30PM, end of registration. All entries will be required to be current USA Fencing "competitive" members. Everyone involved in any fencing related activity (practice or tournament) at MSFA is required to wear full and complete uniforms and gear according to USA Fencing requirements.
