All original SabreCave Alumni (from the first event, held in College Station, Texas in the spring of 1994) who pre-register and compete pay only the event fee - no registration fees! Gym opens at 9 am Event Schedule (times listed are close of registraion): Youth 12-14 Mixed Sabre 9:30 am Open Women's Saber 10:00 am Open Mixed Saber 12:30 pm Youth 10 Mixed Sabre 2:00 pm Please note the Youth 12-14 event is open to all Youth12 and Youth14 age-category fencers! Venue: NRH Rec Center 6720 NE Loop 820 @ Rufe Snow North Richland Hills, Texas We Gaurantee the lights will stay on this year!!! Awards will be given to top 8 places in Open Womens and Mixed events and to top 3 Boys and Girls in Youth Events. First place in Mixed Sabre recieves engraved crystal barware set. Registration Fee as follows: On or prior to September 24 $20 September 25 - October 1 $25 At the door $30 Event Fee $15 per event. Send no money now, all payments are taken at the door. Checks should be made payable to Grapevine Texas Fencing Center. No event fees for “A” rated fencers – proof required. All currently enrolled students who present a valid ID will receive $10 off the price of registration (College, High School, Youth) IF PREREGISTERED BY OCTOBER 1st!!!! "Extra-Special" Tournament T-shirts are available, please pre-order on the registration page. $15 for Small to XL/$18 for XXL. Prices at the door are $20 and $23, respectively. Birth year limitations (2004-2005 season) Open Mixed and Womens event: 1991 or before or on Junior National Rolling Points List in either Men's or Women's Sabre Youth 12-14 event 1990-1995 or on Youth 10 NRP List Youth 10 event 1994-1997 Tournament Organization: All events will be fenced electrically. Masks, body chords AND LAMES! will be subject to equipment control. Cuffs are required. Original seeding will be based on National Rating (e.g., A03, B01, C04, etc). One round of pools will be fenced; 100% promoted to DE’s of 15 touches. Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placements will be posted in the venue. Fencers are responsible for verifying the posted lists, and signing their pool and DE sheets. USFA Membership: Fencers must be a USFA or FIE Member. Proof of membership is required – USFA membership forms will be available at the tournament. If you do not have proof of membership, you will be required to complete and pay for a membership. Fencers are reminded they need the signature of a parent or guardian (not a coach) on the membership form. Payment for memberships is made directly to the USFA (bring separate checks for the tournament and membership).
