Invited Schools: This event is open only to freshmen from Bayonne, Butler, Governor Livingston, Millburn, Moorestown Friends, Montclair, Pope John XXIII, St. Augustine (B), St. Peter’s Prep (B), West Windsor-PB North and West Windsor PB - South High Schools. This is not a USFA tournament. There is a separate FRED registration for the Sophomore part of this Tournament at: http://askfred.net/Events/Prereg/prereg.php?tournament_id=6859 There is no snowdate scheduled. Events Schedule, Sunday, February 8, 2008. Gender-Class-Weapon: Women's Freshman Sabre Men's Freshman Sabre Women's Freshman Foil Men's Freshman Foil Women's Freshman Epee Men's Freshman Epee Tournament Format: Pools of 5, 6 or 7 fencers, with 100% promoted to the direct elimination table. DEs are 10 pt bouts. Fence-off for third place. Engraved medals to all quarterfinalists.. Referees: Juniors and Seniors from the twelve schools are required to referee. They will work the pools and the rounds of 32 and 16 in the DEs. Juniors and Seniors who don't feel comfortable refereeing will help with scorekeeping. Paid, USFA-rated referees will work the quarterfinals thru the finals. Registration: Registrations will be taken only online via FRED. No payment necessary. Your school will pay later. No walk-in registrations accepted. Registration closes on Wednesday, Feb 2, 2009. If you represent a fencing club in the USFA, choose your high school as your Secondary Club Affiliation in the 'EDIT PROFILE' section under 'MyFRED'. If you don't, choose your high school as your primary club. All twelve schools invited to the tournament are set-up in FRED..
