REFEREES If interested in refereeing, e-mail Lisa Campi-Sapery at lisasapery@hotmail.com ================================================================================================================================================================== • Events are open to current USA Fencing competitive members age-eligible to fence, and to foreign fencers with current FIE license or proof of affiliation with their federation. • Waiver required - Download waiver and present at check-in • Check age eligibility before entering. Please DO NOT enter an event you are not eligible to compete in based on the following guidelines. Eligibility will be checked and any ineligible entries removed. REGIONAL YOUTH CIRCUIT (RYC) [Age Eligibility]: Y8 2008-2011 Y10 2006-2009 Y12 2004-2007 (or on Y10 NRPS list) Y14 2002-2005 (or on Y12 NRPS list) Competing in RYC provides fencers with valuable competitive experience at the local/regional level and are intended to prepare you for larger national events. RYC serve as a qualifying regional path to the Summer National Championships. Regional points will be awarded only to Region 3 residents at this RYC. Regional Ranking Point System (RRPS) rankings are managed by the National Office and available for viewing on the USA Fencing Website (http://www.usfencing.org/page/show/2292457-regional). There are NO National Points earned at RYC events. All athletes who fence at an RYC will earn regional points based on placement. Larger fields will award more points for placement. Up to 3 RYC results will count towards an athlete’s final Regional Youth Ranking. If an athlete competes in more than 3 RYCs in their home region, their best 3 results will count. At the end of the season, ranking winners of each age group and gender in each of the 6 youth regions will be recognized by the YDC and US Fencing. A percentage of regional point holders from each region will earn qualification to the Youth NAC and Summer National Championships. Foreign fencers can compete at any RYC. If they compete out of Region they will not appear on that Region’s Point List nor will points from an outside region transfer to an athletes point total in their home region. CADET [Age Eligibility]: Born 2000-2003 No Regional points can be earned at this event. Ratings can be awarded, however youth events do not qualify for the E1 or D1 classifications. This means that these events are NR until they achieve C1 level or higher. See USFA ratings chart at: http://assets.ngin.com/attachments/document/0034/6264/Classification_Chart.pdf VETERAN [Age Eligibility]: Born 1977 or before Veteran ROCs award regional points to the top 40% of the finishers. ================================================================================================================================================================== REGISTRATION AND EVENT FEES -- Registration fee is nonrefundable -- Your fee is determined by date of payment, not date of registration.
