Grapevine Texas Fencing Center Presents: Southwest Regional Youth Circuit #1 December 13th and 14th, 2003 SW RYC#1 is a point-garnering event for the SW RYC Point Series. Additionally, this is a qualifying event for Y10 and Y12 fencers forthe April 2004 Youth NAC and 2004 Summer Nationals. Send no money now, and save yourself time and money at check in! Awards will be given to the top 3 placing Boys and Girls in eachevent. USFA Membership: Fencers must be a USFA or FIE Member. Proof ofmembership is required – USFA membership forms will be available at thetournament. If you do not have proof of membership, you will be required to completeand pay for a membership. Fencers are reminded they need the signature of aparent or guardian (not a coach) on the membership form. Payment formemberships is made directly to the USFA (bring separate checks for the tournament andmembership). Age Groups USFA birth year rules apply as posted on the USFA website: Youth 14—1992-1989; Youth 12—1994-1991; Youth 10—1996-1993. Tournament Organization: All weapons will be fenced electrically. Mask and body chords will be subject to equipment control. Cuffs are required forSabre events. Original seeding will be based on National Rating (e.g., A02, B00,etc.), RYC points to date, and time spent fencing. One round of pools will be fenced; 100% up to DE’s of best 2 out of 3 five touch touch bouts. Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placements will beposted in the venue. Fencers are responsible for verifying the posted lists, andsigning their pool and DE sheets. Changes will not be made after fencing commences. Y10 fencers must use #0 or #2 blades.
