Please arrive sufficiently early so you will be ready to fence when registration closes. The venue will be open at approximately 7:30 a.m. both days. Saturday September 29th 8AM - Senior Mixed Epee 8AM - Y10 Mixed Foil 9AM - Senior Women's Foil 9AM - Senior Mixed Saber 11AM - Y14 Mixed Epee 12PM - Junior Mixed Foil 12PM - Y12 Mixed Foil Sunday September 30th 8AM - Junior Mixed Epee 8AM - Y10 Mixed Epee 8AM - Veteran Mixed Epee 10AM - Senior Mixed Foil 11AM - Y12 Mixed Epee 12PM - Y14 Mixed Foil 12PM - Senior Women's Epee REGISTRATION/EVENT FEES Online early registration completed and fees paid on or before September 8th - $15 Early registration completed on or before September 21st - $25 Registration after September 21st - $50 At the door registration - $75.00 $30 for each Senior or Veteran  $25 for each Women's or Junior Event $15 for each Youth 10, 12 or 14 Event SWORDMASTERS TO SERVE AS EXCLUSIVE VENDOR Swordmasters will serve as the exclusive vendor for the 13th Annual Amarillo Open. CLUB REBATE A club rebate is available to clubs who have at least 10 paid fencers. The rebate will be a total of 8% of the club's fencers' total fencing fees paid (including late fees) if the club has at least 10 paid fencers, and 10% if the club has at least 20 paid fencers. The rebate will be paid to the club at the tournament. TRAVELING INFORMATION If you’re flying - Nonstop commercial service is available from Dallas Love Field, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Houston-Bush Intercontinental Airport, Denver International Airport, Las Vegas McCarran International Airport and Memphis International Airport. Amarillo is served by American, Continental, Delta and Southwest airlines. If you’re driving - Amarillo is located on I-40 between Albuquerque and Oklahoma City, and on HW287 between Denver and Dallas/Fort Worth. Amarillo is an easy four-hour drive from either Albuquerque or Oklahoma City, a five-hour drive from Fort Worth, and a seven-hour drive from Denver or El Paso. Well over 50 hotels and many more restaurants within 5-10 minutes of the venue will accommodate any budget and need. Medals for the top 8 fencers will be awarded for all events. USFA RULES All USFA rules will be enforced in the tournament. Please bring proof of USFA membership or you will not be allowed to compete. New USFA membership applications will be available at the tournament. COMPETITION FORMAT Standard USFA pool format with 100 percent advancing to direct elimination with no repecharge. ARMORER The tournament will have an armorer to check fencing equipment before each competition and to assist with equipment problems during the tournament. Masks and body cords will be checked for all events. In addition, lames will be checked for foil and lames/cuffs for saber. The bib is now target for all US Fencing foil events. The armory will be opened for early equipment check on Friday night from 6PM to 9PM at the venue. We are encouraging everybody with an 8AM start time on Saturday to take advantage of this early equipment check. EVENT KIOSK AND MOBILE ACCESS We will have LCD monitors and event kiosks that will display live results and tournament info. When pools or DE's are called, you can see where you need to be on either the LCD monitors, the event kiosks, or on your Internet-enabled mobile device. SET YOUR CLOCKS For those coming from other time zones, Amarillo is in the Central Time Zone. Be sure to set your clocks accordingly. ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING FOOD IN THE VENUE: The Carter Fitness Center does not allow food and drink (other than water bottles) on the floor of the gym where the competition is being held. There will be an adjoining classroom where all food must be kept and consumed. Breakfast burritos and box lunches will be available. REFUND POLICY For refund of event fee(s), withdrawals must be submitted to acfencer@gmail.com or (806) 553-0115 (leave message) by midnight 09/14/2012. Registration fees are nonrefundable.
