RCFC "Home for the Holidays" Open (WWFC/WWEC #1)

FRED Announces the RCFC "Home for the Holidays" Open RCFC presents an Open Foil/Epee tournament to close out the year. Earn yourself a merry little rating! Note, both events event are also part of the Western Washington Foil/Epee Challenge series. ------------------ Important Info: ------------------- Tournament: RCFC "Home for the Holidays" Open Date(s): 12/22/2018 Location: Rain City Fencing Center 9:30 AM - Doors open 10:00 AM - Mixed Foil 1:00 PM - Mixed Epee Times listed are close of registration. Fencing will begin shortly thereafter. Entry fee is $20 per event. You may purchase a season pass to the entire Western Washington Foil or Epee Challenge series (including this tournament) for $95 per weapon. Current (2018-2019) USA Fencing competitive membership is required. Please join or renew your membership online at https://member.usafencing.org/ before the tournament. Foreign fencers need to sign up for a free Foreign Fencer membership. Full regulation uniform, including underarm protector, fencing pants and long socks, is required. Also make sure your weapons will pass the weight test on the strip! All foil fencers at all competition levels must have masks with conductive bibs. RCFC has electric foil masks, mask cords, and retrofit kits for BG "Olympic" masks available for sale. Foil fencers who wear a hard plastic chest protector must wear a new FIE-approved padded protector. Hard plastic chest protectors are still required for women and optional for men. Epee fencers may not use foil masks, since the conductive bib can ground out the opponent's point. Format is one round of pools, 100% promotion to direct elimination.
