Arrive early to get your equipment checked! We will be running on a strict schedule so yourpromptness is appreciated. ---- Registration Information ---- Registration fee is $5 plus $10 dollars per event entered. Tournament fees can be paid in cash or check made out toUSFA/WWD. A $5 late fee will be charged if you do not pre-register by 10pm on Friday, April 11th. There is no penalty for pre-registering and not showing up. ---- Tournament Rules ---- All competitors must be competitive members of the USFA Western Washington Division (no "Fence for Fun") Proof of USFA membershipwill be required of all participants at check-in. Please bring yourcurrent USFA membership card. You may join or renew your USFAmembership at the door. All weapons will be scored electrically. We will inspect and mark masks, lames, and body cords. Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed. ---- Event Format ---- The format for all events will be one or more rounds of pools, no direct elimination. The pool sizes and promotion percentages will be based on the number of competitors. ---- Eligibility ---- Only members of the USFA Western Washington Division are eligible toparticipate in this tournament. Division II events: Fencers must be born in 1989 or earlier and must be classified "C" or lower. Under-16 events: Fencers must be born in 1987, 1988, 1989, or 1990. Younger fencerswho are on the national Youth-14 points standings are also eligible. Youth-14 events: Fencers must be born in 1988, 1989, 1990, or 1991. Younger fencerswho are on the national Youth-12 points standings are also eligible. ---- Who qualifies ---- The top 30% of the fencers in an event (rounded up) qualify for thatevent at Nationals. A minimum of two fencers qualify from eachevent. All competitors in Division II events who are classified "D" or lower qualify for Division III Nationals, regardless of place. All competitors in Division II events who were born in 1962 or before qualify for the Veterans Combined Nationals, regardless of place. All fencers who qualify for Under-16 or Under-19 events automatically qualify for Division II as well, if they are classified "C" or lower. All fencers on the Under-16 national points standings and the top 8fencers on the Youth-14 national points standings as of May 1st automatically qualify for Under-16 events. All fencers on the Youth-14 national points standings as of May 1stautomatically qualify for Youth-14 events. ---- Call for Directors ---- The WWD is looking for qualified directors to assist in directing. If you can volunteer on one or both days, you will be paid a $40 per diem and get a free lunch!
