Join UFA's International Elite Foil Summer Camp with Olympic Coaches Stefano Cerioni, Maurizio Zomparelli, Vadim Ayupov and elite fencers. Location features 16+ full size electric fencing strips. For fencers age 13+ (exception with Head Coach's approval).

The camp program created and run by THREE-TIME GOLD MEDAL OLYMPIC COACHES (Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016) A great opportunity to fence with elite fencers from around the world. We expect to have National Team members from USA and Europe participating in the camp. The fencers will be grouped according to their skill level and competition experience. International level all-inclusive training and conditioning camp in a 25,000 sq ft fully air conditioned state-of-the-art training facility. With 16+ full size electric fencing strips, overnight locked storage room for fencing gear, fully equipped weight room, lockers and showers provided. Daily round trip shuttle transportation from the Palm Garden Hotel to the Sports Academy venue. For details and pictures of this exciting world class venue, go to- https://sportsacademy.us/ Coaches: Vadim Ayupov Ayupov has had an extensive and notable career in foil fencing, which includes membership on the internationally renowned Russian National Fencing Team. Winner of World Championships, European Championships, World Cups, and Universiade Games. From 2005 to 2009, Ayupov was the Junior Head Foil Coach for the Russian National Team. He was responsible for personally training numerous national and international award-winning athletes, including Renal Ganeev, Artur Akhmatkhuzin, Julia Khakimova, Sergey Tikhonov, Ayrat Sitdikov and Maxim Bobok. In 2001, Ayupov was awarded the International Master of Sport in fencing due to his numerous awards and the recognition he received as a competitor in fencing. Since 2006, he became a Certified International Referee approved by International Fencing Federation (FIE). In 2014, Vadim Ayupov and his wife, Julia Khakimova, opened United Fencing Academy. Maurizio Zomparelli Zomparelli was a member of the Italian National Foil Team from 1982 to 1988. After his fencing career, Maurizio Zomparelli became a world-renown coach and has worked with athletes on the highest level. From 2004 to 2012, he was responsible for the Physical Conditioning and Training Program of the Italian Olympic Foil Team. During that period, the Italian Men’s and Women’s Foil Team won countless medals in World Championships, European Championships, World Cups, Universiade Games, GOLD MEDALS in the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, and ALL THREE MEDALS in the Olympic Games in London 2012. In 2012, Zomparelli was invited to be the Physical Conditioning Coach and Assistant Coach for the Russian Men’s and Women’s Olympic Foil Teams with two other world-renown Italian coaches, Stefano Cerioni and Giovanni Bortolaso. Working with the Russian Men’s and Women’s Foil Teams, Zomparelli achieved the highest results for his athletes - first place in the international rankings, gold medals in World Championships, European Championships, World Cups, Universiade Games, and TWO GOLD and BRONZE MEDALS in the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. For both the Italian and Russian Olympic Foil Teams, Zomparelli was responsible for physical training, rehabilitation and recovery and team/individual physical training program development. SPECIAL GUESTS Stefano Cerioni Cerioni has had an outstanding career in foil fencing - Olympic Champion in Los Angeles 1984 (team and individual) and in Seoul 1988. After the 2004 Summer Olympics, he became the Director of Foil at the Italian Fencing Federation for the Olympic Men’s Foil Team. In 2008, his responsibilities were extended to the Olympic Women’s Foil Team. Under his direction, the Italian National Foil Team won World Championships, European Championships, World Cups, Universiade Games, a GOLD MEDAL in the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, and ALL THREE MEDALS in the Olympic Games in London 2012. In 2012, Cerioni was invited by the Russian Fencing Federation to be the Director of Foil for both Men’s and Women’s Foil Teams, taking with him Assistant Coach, Giovanni Bortolaso, and Physical Conditioning Coach, Maurizio Zomparelli. Within three years, the Russian Foil Team rose to first place in the international rankings and won gold medals in World Championships, European Championships, World Cups, Universiade Games, and won TWO GOLD and BRONZE MEDALS in the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. Daniel Goméz Goméz has been a member of the Mexican Olympic Men’s Foil Team since 2007 and was a Penn State NCAA Champion, 2010. Two-time Olympian from London 2012 and Rio 2016. Daniel Gómez is the current Central American and Caribbean Games Champion. He is the only Mexican male fencer in history to win two Games in a row. Daniel also won two medals at the Pan American Games in Toronto 2015 and a silver medal at the Pan American Championship in 2016. Training program includes: Warm-up Conditioning/Strength Training Stretching/Coordination Fencing Drills/Footwork Blade Work/Strategy Structured Bouting Camp Hours: 9 am - 4 pm, Monday - Saturday Hot lunch provided DAILY.
