FRED Announces the WFA Jingle Jab Burn off that holiday feasting! ------------------ Important Info: ------------------- Tournament: WFA Jingle Jab Date(s): Saturday, December 28, 2002 Location: Issaquah Community Center Event --- Registration Closes -Mixed Open Foil - Registration CLOSES at 6:30 pm -Mixed Open Saber - Registration CLOSES at 6:30 pm -Mixed Open One-Touch Epee - Registration CLOSES at 8pm SPECIAL SIGNATURE EVENT: One-touch, Pentathlon-style Open Epee: one round-robin, the fencer with the most touches wins! This is fast and exciting, so be prepared to yell and cheer ... it's a great chanceto try your hand at epee without being patient. It's dueling at its best! -- One-minute bouts -- Double touches don't count -- No touches in bout means no points -- Everyone fences everyone! -- Fence-off for any (winning) ties PRIZES: -- Full-size Toledo broadsword prize goes to the winner of signature event, compliments of Sword-Masters! -- Medals to top four in foil and saber, top three in signature event VENUE: Issaquah Community Center in Historic Downtown Issaquah! -- Great fencing floor with LOTS of room, great lighting, lots of room to watch, and fantastic facilities! -- Centrally located, easy to find ProShop: Fencing equipment will be on-site available for purchase and/or ordering. Visa/Mastercard accepted Price: $10 for first event, $5 for second event. USFA competitive membership required. Standard uniform and equipment requirements will be enforced. Saber and Foil directors needed: If you're willing and able to direct, you get into the tournament for free! (First-come,first-served...) Directions/Location: Issaquah is about 16 miles east of Seattle, just off I-90. The Issaquah Community Center is located in the heart of downtown Issaquah, just 5 minutes from the I-90 Front Street off-ramp. --From I-90, exit Front Street and turn right (south) --Go through downtown and turn left onto E. Sunset Way --Turn right onto Rainier (only 1/10 of a mile) --The community center is at the end of the street. --If you're coming from Tacoma or Portland, take Highway 18 towards North Bend, and turn left (north) onto Issaquah-Hobart Road. --Take Issaquah-Hobart Road into downtown issaquah, where it turns into Front Street. --Turn right onto E. Sunset Way --Turn right onto Rainier (only 1/10 of a mile) --The community center is at the end of the street.
