UC Davis NCIFL "Frank La" Spectacular 2022

This is a Northern California Intercollegiate Fencing League tournament; only enrolled college students with a student ID may participate. Please include your college club as your primary club when registering. No USFA ratings will be awarded. Times are subject to change; those preregistered will be notified via email if so. ********** EVENTS SCHEDULED: Saturday, May 7: DOORS OPEN AT 8 AM Mixed Novice Foil - 9:00AM Mixed Foil - 10:00AM Mixed Épée - 11:00AM Mixed Sabre - 1:00PM Day 1 Prices: $20 First event preregistered $15 Each additional event preregistered $25 First event without preregistration $20 Each additional event without preregistration *Those registered for novice foil can not participate in any other event on Day 1. Novice foil is meant for those who have less than one year of fencing experience. Sunday, May 8 (start times will be added according to teams registered, please stay tuned!): DOORS OPEN AT 9 AM Mixed Team Foil: 10:00 AM Mixed Team Épée: 11:00 AM Mixed Team Sabre: 11:00 AM Mixed Doubles Épée: *After the team events have ended *All teams except doubles épée must be co-ed (at least one male and one female). Day 2 Prices: $50 per team. Doubles épée is free of charge. ********** Cash and venmo (@ucdavisfencing) only. Payments will be accepted at door. If possible, please try to bring exact change. ********** Preregistration closes the evening before the event. Hickey Gym is located at 350 Howard Way on the northeast side of campus next to the Memorial Union bus stops. You can enter from the door closest to the red telephone booth (facing the bus stops) and go up the stairs immediately to your left. Parking is available at the adjacent parking structure. Please note that the tournament will take place during UC Davis' Whole Earth festival, and plan parking/hotels (if necessary) accordingly. ********** COVID-19 PROTOCOL The university will no longer be checking for proof of vaccination, nor will they ask for COVID tests. However, these policies are subject to change. If such a change occurs, all those preregistered will be emailed and the askfred will be updated accordingly. If you have reason to suspect that you may have been exposed to or have COVID-19, please DO NOT attend the tournament. Regardless of current university guidelines, our team does encourage everyone to get tested in some form in the days/week preceding the event to minimize the risk of infection. We also ask that all participants wear a mask except while actively drinking inside the venue. *****IMPORTANT***** Please note that the school has requested that there be no eating inside the gym and that all participants and spectators avoid wearing dress shoes or boots even when not fencing. If these rules are violated, our club risks losing its practice space, so we would greatly appreciate your cooperation!
