The Wasatch D & Under Challenge is a sanctioned event giving D & Under fencers a chance to earn ratings. The youth (Y12) events are unsanctioned for all youth 12 and under.

Fees:

  1. Registration fee: $20
  2. Event fee: $10 per event


U.S Fencing Membership Required

  1. All fencers must have a current Access or Competitive membership to participate.


Sanctioned - Unsanctioned Events

  1. U.S. Fencing sanctions all Open and D and Under events
  2. The developmental Y12, Y10, and Y8 are unsanctioned to allow for seeding format flexibility.


Basic Information:

  1. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the published check-in time. 
  2. Fencers must wear a full fencing uniform to compete: a mask, jacket, Plastron chest protector, knickers, knee-high socks, and glove.
  3. Spectators are encouraged to cheer for both fencers during bouts.
  4. All events will be used to teach fencers and others how to officiate bouts. Please support the efforts of all who are learning to officiate.


Medals

  1. 3 or fewer fencers - none
  2. 4 to 8 fencers - Top 2
  3. 9 to 15 fencers - Top 4
  4. 16 or more fencers - Top 8


Withdrawal and Refunds

  1. Please withdraw via your Askfred.net account or contact Ron at ronh@wasatchfencing.org
  2. No refunds will be given after January 4.
