Official San Diego Cup event. Sanctioned. Strict limits to the age groups. Medals given to the top 3 places in each event. The top 32 fencers will earn points toward San Diego Cup and a champion will be named at the end of the season.

Events Scheduled: Junior (U19) Women's EpeeJunior (U19) Women's FoilJunior (U19) Women's SaberJunior (U19) Men's EpeeJunior (U19) Men's FoilJunior (U19) Men's Saber Preregistration opens on 09/23/2016. Preregistration closes on 02/25/2017. SD Junior Cup points accumulate over the entire season. There will be a Division Champion in each weapon and each gender crowed at the end of the season. Awards given at the last event of the season. San Diego Division Sanctioned - USA Fencing Event Fencers can fencing more than one event the same day. We kindly ask athletes to not register for events which run simultaneously Some SD Cup Events are posted by gender but can be fenced Mixed if less than 5 fencers registered. Tournament Format: Standard - Single round of pools, 100% promotion to single Direct elimination table. There will be medals for the top three finishing fencers of the day in each event. Equipment Check: Mask checks are mandatory. Mask and glove checks will be done at the armory table. Gloves or masks with holes, rips, tape or loose seams will not be approved. Volunteers: Please help us run the events even smoother by volunteering. Fencers and supporters alike will benefit from learning the process from start to finish. This knowledge will assuredly give you a competitive edge. Officials: If you'd like to be an official referee, time keeper or floor judge for an event, please contact us as well. Fencers: Please bring proof of current USFA membership or register on-site. Entry fee is $20 if pre-registered or $25 for walk-in. Pre Register online or at the club. Pay by Debit, Credit Card, Check, Cash accepted. Current USFA rules will be applied http://www.usfencing.org/page/show/695205-manuals Foreign Fencers with a current Fencing License from their National Federation or with an FIE License will be allow to fence, but are not covered by USA Fencing Insurance and fence at their own risk.
