SoCal SN Epee Camp w/ Notre Dame Epee Coach

Come, fence and train at this camp for all levels of fencers with a focus on intermediate and advanced fencers in preparation for Summer Nationals. All fencers must bring their own equipment. Special arrangements can be made on an individual basis. Please see pricing schedule below. Daily $120 or $130. Please register today and pay Swords at the beginning of the camp. This is a great opportunity to train with Coach Tigran Shaginian who has developed several National Team members including Stephen Ewart, Madeline Kehl, Kevin Mo, Michael Raynis, and many others. We will have several top 20 fencers in attendance from Stephen Ewart, Irene Yeu, and Stafford Moosekian in Junior, Cadet, and Y14 categories. We will also have a special guest coach, Cedric Loiseau! With over eight years of epee coaching experience, Cedric Loiseau enters his first season as associate head fencing coach at the University of Notre Dame and fourth overall, boasting a pedigree both on and off the strip. He has already developed numerous students who have flourished on the international fencing scene. In his two seasons prior to arriving at Notre Dame, Loiseau coached his épée team to seven podium finishes (including two gold medals) in national senior-level events. Loiseau's teams also brought home five top finishes at the junior-cadet level, highlighted by a bronze medal win at the Junior France Championship in 2011. Coach Loiseau enjoyed tremendous success in coaching at the local level in France. During a seven-year stretch from 2005-11, Loiseau directed 22 individuals to gold medals at State League Championships, while helping 17 teams top a podium during that span. He also brings many personal experiences on the strip with him, with eight senior/cadet-junior event championships to his name and finishing the season as the top-ranked fencer nationally in France twice. His accomplishments stretch far beyond individual accolades, as he was a part of the 2004 University France Championship squad, the 2002 European Junior Team Championship squad, a silver medalist in the 2003 France Championships and a two-time Junior World Cup bronze medal finisher. We will also host training sessions on Saturdays and Sundays if there is enough interest. Please let us know if you are interested. Schedule 1 pricing for fencers 12 and under. Sample daily schedule: 9-10am : Running, stretching 10-12pm : Techniques, conditioning, calisthenics, drills 12-1pm : Lunch 1-2pm : Resting, games, video review 2-4pm : Techniques, fencing We will focus on conditioning, techniques, drills, stretching, fencing footage, and coaching during fencing situations. Lunch will be provided for those 12 years and under with the pricing schedule 1. Older students 13 and over will be paying pricing schedule 2 and will need to bring money for their own lunch.
