*** Raritan Duelles is an annual Escrimeur tournament for fencing veterans. Consider this: If you are 40+ and you held sabre at least once in your life - this is your golden chance to have real fencing fun. No dueling experience necessary :-) Bring your friends and relatives to cheer! .................................................. Events scheduled: VET COMBINED MIXED SABRE ..................... PRE-REGISTRATION Pre-registration opens on 01/29/2009 via this website or at the YMCA's front desk. Pre-registration closes on 06/06/2009. ..................... FEES If pre-registered by 6/6/09 the tournament fee is $35. With no pre-registration the tournament fee is $55. Tournament fees must be paid prior to the registration closing time. YMCA front desk accepts all major credit cards, personal checks and cash. ..................... REGISTRATION Registration starts at the door at 12 p.m. and closes at 1 p.m. Non-YMCA members must sign a waiver at the time of registration. ..................... TOURNAMENT FORMAT This is a sanctioned USFA tournament. If the number of participants reaches the minimum requirement, USFA ratings will be awarded. The organizers may split the tournament by gender if at least 5 female fencers complete their registration on time. All fencers must have current USFA membership and poses complete USFA competition attire for the tournament. Competition format: pools followed by 100% promotion to direct elimination (10-point bouts). Champion gets a trophy, top 3 places - medals.
