Master Your Fencing Skills at Our Competitive Fencing Intensive!


Step onto the piste confidently after training at our competitive intensive, designed and led by three of the sport’s well-known saber coaches. This camp is the perfect setting for fencers of all levels to hone their skills, learn advanced techniques, and prepare for competition. This is great training before the Summer Nationals, giving you enough time to take your learnings to your club and hone them further. Bring your best game and get ready to work!


Camp Features:

  1. Personalized Training Sessions: Work one-on-one and in small groups for tailored coaching that targets your unique strengths and areas for improvement.
  2. Advanced Techniques: Learn the latest in attack and defense strategies across various fencing weapons.
  3. Physical Conditioning: Participate in specialized workouts designed to enhance your agility, strength, and endurance.
  4. Situational Bouting / Tactics: Test your skills in simulated situations with direct feedback from top-tier coaches.



Your Coaches:

  1. Coach Medhat ElBakry: A master tactician known for getting you to focus and achieve at competitions, an Olympic Referee (Rio 2016), Coach Medhat understands the ins and outs of what is behind the competitive mindset of the opponent and the perspective of the referee, so that you can navigate the tactics, strategy and your mindset to achieve your best results
  2. Coach Sherif ElBakry: A master-level coach, Coach Sherif specializes in dynamic footwork and blade work while emphasizing the foundational elements. An Olympic Coach for Egypt, Coach Sherif has elevated Egyptian saber fencing to multiple World Cup and Championship podium finishes.
  3. Coach Mostafa Ayman: Recently moved to the US, Olympian Mostafa Ayman and FIE referee is an expert in preparation and competitive resilience. Recently retired from World Cup fencing, Coach Mostafa brings his recent experiences of the highs and lows of a competitive fencer and the psychological mindset needed to achieve a podium finish.

Cost

$100 deposit required for registration.

$250 for RFC members and $315 for non-members.


There will be an optional, Referee Seminar held on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 - 4:30 PM. This seminar is led by CRI Medhat ElBakry and is a pre-requisite for all aspiring US referees and US referees requiring a seminar renewal.
