The Youth PCC/RYC will host all weapons for all youth events. The RYC automaticly qualifies Y-10 and Y-12 fencers for the Summer Nationals. Section youth champions will be named and given Swords. Anyone from anywhere can enter.

Please Note: The Youth PCC's are a final Pacific Coast Youth Circuit/RYC event and thus counts for the overall points for the Section champions. The top three event winners will get a special award only indigenous to this area. Section champions will also be recognized. This is an open event for all youth events. Anyone from anywhere may enter into this event. All USFA rules apply. This tournament can also be used to qualify you towards Y-10 and Y-12 events for the US Summer Nationals. Just entering in your youth event qualifies you to the US Summer Nationals. This is not a qualifying event for any Y-14 fencers. You must do that through your division qualyfiers. The US Nationals are being held in Dallas, TX July 3-12, 2009. Venue: Red Rock Fencing Center- 5275 S. Arville St. Suite #332- Las Vegas, Nevada 89118. Registration closes May 7, 2009 Registration: $30 + $2 = $32(one-time, non-refundable) Individual: $20 per event Implemented by the Board of Directors effective October 1, 2008, all tournaments designated as Regional Youth Competitions (RYC) shall be required to remit a Program Support Fee of $2.00 per individual registrant to the USFA National Office. (See Athlete Handbook page 8). Please put in your USFA membership number when signing up. You are allowed to enter into as many events as you want but the referees will not wait for you if your name is called to be on a strip. You must take care when selecting more than one event in a day. Names on the back of your jacket is NOT required but highly recommended since it will be needed at the Summer Nationals. The day of your event will not change. Please check back to this page for updated times. PLEASE PRE-REGISTER. You are responsible for payment or giving timely notification of withdrawal. Formats: One round of pools, 5-touch bouts with a 3-minute time limit. 100% advancing to DE of 15 touches for Y14. DE of 2 out of 3 5-touch bouts for Y12 and Y10. Events: Epee, Foil, Sabre Men and Women for Youth 10, Youth 12 & Youth 14. All events will be combined in appropriate categories if there are less than 6 individuals entered. Birth year limitations (2008-2009 season) Youth 10 1998-2001 Youth 12 1996-1999, or on Youth 10 NRPS (National Result Point Standings) Youth 14 1994-1997, or on Youth 12 NRPS Current competitive USFA Membership is required. Membership AND informed consent forms for minors require the signature of a parent or legal guardian, the coach may not sign. Membership and informed consent forms will be available at the venue. Payment for memberships is made directly to the USFA (bring separate checks for the tournament and membership). Fencers are responsible for verifying information on all posted lists both prior to and during fencing. Fencers are required to fence in proper fencing attire; current USFA rules will apply. All events are electric. Two ways to enter - online at AskFred or pay at the door. We accept Visa, MC, Debit, Checks and cash. Let us know if you are going to pay at the door via e-mail. Airport/Transportation: Shuttles and taxies are available at the Las Vegas - McCarran International Airport [LAS] (http://www.mccarran.com/). Transportation is not available between the venue and the hotel. Weather: Normally day temperatures in Las Vegas are in the 80s, night temperatures are in the 60s. USFA, home country or FIE membership is required. For your convenience you can pay your USFA dues at the tournament. USFA rules will be followed. All events are electric. No Vendor on site. You must have two working weapons and two body cords to present at the strip. Armorer will be checking all masks. Weights and shims will be used so have your weapons checked before you come to the event. Refunds must be received in writing and received by May 4, 2009.
