This is SOUTHWEST SECTION CIRCUIT CUP and RYC hosted by Young Elites of Houston (SSCC 3) and Bayou City Fencing Academy (RYC). NOTE There will be an Advanced Referee Seminar at 6pm Saturday Feb 21 at the venue. The Seminar will be headed by Amgad Badawi and Jerry Bentsen. The Seminar will be open to all referees and will be focusing primarily on Foil, Sabre, and Right of Way. Registration Fees Regular Registration (Through February 9, 2009): $30 Late Registration (From Feb 10 through 19, 2009): $65 At the Door: $85 Event Fees: $15 per event Birth year limitations (2008-2009 season) •Senior Men's and Women's events: 1995 or before, or on Junior National Rolling Points List •Youth 14: 1994-1997, or on Youth 12 NRH List •Youth 12 event 1996-1999, or on Youth 10 NRP List •Youth 10 event 1998-2001 USFA Membership Current competitive membership of the USFA required (membership will be available at the venue). If your membership is not pre-validated, you must be prepared to show proof of USFA membership, or at the door, fill out a membership form and pay $60 - check or credit card only (no cash) Persons under age 18 MUST have a parent's signature on the USFA form. Waiver of Liability ***All participants must sign a Waiver of Liability form which can be found on the Gulf Coast Division Website. Fencers under age 18 must have a parent's signature on this form. TOURNAMENT FORMAT: All SSCC events will be run with one round of pools being fenced; 100% promotion to a single elimination bracket of 15 touch bouts except as provided for in the SSCC Ops Manual. Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placemnts will be posted in the venue. Fencers are responsible for verifying the posted lists, and signing their pool and DE sheets. INFORMATION ON AWARDS: As part of their award from last season's SSCC events for being in the top three point holders in their event, these fencers have the registration fee waived to all SSCC events this season. Please note that pre-registration is still required!
