Join us in Woodstock for the first AAU/FLA sanctioned Y8, Y10-12, and Y14 Youth event in the metro Atlanta area hosted by Georgia Fencing Academy!!! AAU Membership required for all Athletes, Coaches, Referees, Tournament Staff. Events are capped at 10

Time to sign up for the GFA Youth Challenge on May 27th 2023 in Woodstock!!! Cherokee Parks and Recreation 7545 Main St Ste. 200, Woodstock, GA 30188 Event Times Y6 - Y8 Combined at 10:00 AM  Y10 - Y12 Combined at 10:00 AM* Y14 at 11:00 AM Cost: $20.00 for the first event. $10.00 for each additional event. Events will be capped at 10 participants per event due to time limitations. Medals will be awarded to the top 4 athletes in all events. AAU/FLA ratings and qualifying points will be awarded. All fencers must have complete fencing attire and at least 2 working weapons, 2 working body cords, AAU MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. NO EXCEPTIONS! PARTICIPANTS ARE ATHLETES, COACHES, BOUT COMMITTEE MEMBERS, ARMORY TECHS, AND REFEREES. https://play.aausports.org/login/tabid/36231/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2f Memberships can be purchased at the link above. As there is a mandatory background check for all adult participants, It is suggested that adults (18 and over) purchase their memberships at least 72 hours prior to the event. AAU/FLA age classifications Y6- (6 and under) 2016-2017 Y8- (8 and under) 2014-2015 Y10- (10 and under) 2012-2013 Y12- (12 and under) 2010-2011 Y14- (14 and under) 2008-2009 Youth Fencers (6,8,10,12) are eligible to participate in their next age group. * #5 Blades are required for Y10/Y12 combined. GFA can provide #5 weapons for participants needing size 5 blades.   Volunteers are needed and would be very much appreciated for equipment set up and take down!
