THE LOW-STEAKS CUP This fun, friendly, members-only adult novice event is for F.A.P. fencers ages 18+ who have been fencing for under 2 years; featuring BBQ and a steak trophy to celebrate! Unrated Senior Mixed Foil Preregistration opens on 01/21/2023 Preregistration closes on 03/15/2023 (if you've missed the deadline please communicate; we might be able to add you anyway!) TOURNAMENT REQUIREMENTS **all equipment must be functional, passing, and worn/used correctly** **if you do not have all your own gear, please ask your coach so you can be equipped with club gear** • 2 weapons • 2 body cords • foil mask with conductive bib • glove • plastron • jacket • knickers • lamé • knee socks • chest plate for women • $50 cash, exact change please • evidence of current USA Fencing Competitive or Access membership FORMAT One round of pools with all promoting to a direct elimination bracket, fencing to 15 in DE ARRIVAL Athletes should arrive no later than one hour before their close of check in so they have time to prepare for event start EMERGENCY CANCELLATION Please notify your event host if you are sick or injured and cannot make the event at the last minute; otherwise, if you're registered, you're expected to show.
