IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: We were trying to send out an email announcement, but askFRED's system does not seem to be working at the moment. We will also have paper copies at the tournament. People 19 or younger need to have the waiver signed by a parent. Parking and Venue Info Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience. UAH Fencing Club warmly welcomes the fencing community for the UAH ROCKET CITY OPEN 2023 with events in Epee and Foil.

Events Scheduled: Saturday – April 8th
  • D & under Epee (Registration/Check-in closes at 8:30 am (CT))
  • Mixed Foil (Registration/Check-in closes at 11:30 am (CT))
  • Mixed Epee (Registration/Check-in closes at 2:00 pm (CT))
Tournament Fees First Event: $45 Subsequent Events: $35 A-Rated Fencers fence free. B-Rated Fencers will get $10 off of their events. Collegiate teams that provide strips will have their fencers receive a $5 discount on their first event. Preregistration for this event will close at 11:59PM CT on 4/7. All fencers need to sign and submit the waiver form at the registration desk. Fencers under 18 years of age should have the waiver linked here printed and signed by a parent or legal guardian at registration. AGE: Fencers must be at least 13 years of age in the year of the tournament. This means your date of birth must be no later than Jan 1, 2010. Walk-in fencers will be accepted at double fees for each event should there be space for their event. Fees can be paid in cash, check or venmo at the registration table. Masks and gloves will be checked during registration. Each fencer must have an extra body cord (mask cords where necessary) and an additional weapon near the strip. All foil fencers with chest protectors must comply with the soft cover rule. Fencers competing in multiple events on the same day should check in for all events at once. P-Card rules will be used in situations of noncom. The Venue will be open at 7:30 AM. Parking is reserved for UAH RCO23 officials and competitors next to the UAH Fitness Center. Food trucks will be present and fast food centers are present in half a mile radius. Referees We are still looking for refs for all our events.
