Come fence in the Border Texas qualifying events for the 2023 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships! These events are a qualifier for the 2023 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships held February 17 - 20 in Denver Colorado. Entry registration deadline: January 12, 2023 Schedule and events: https://www.usafencing.org/2023juniorolympics What Juniors and Cadets Should Know About Qualifying for the 2023 Junior Olympics https://www.usafencing.org/news_article/show/1243888 These events are being held in conjunction with the Salle De Long Two Blades tournament. We strongly encourage you to participate. Events Scheduled: Junior/Cadet Men's Foil Junior/ Cadet Women's Foil Junior/ Cadet Men's Epee Junior/ Cadet Women's Epee Schedule: 6 pm - All events Venue: Salle De Long Fencing Center is located at 3525 Pershing Dr. El Paso, TX. 79903 Preregister on Ask Fred PRIOR to the tournament Border Texas members: $10 registration + one event $15 registration + two events $20 registration + three events Register at the venue on THE DAY of the tournament Border Texas members: $20 registration + one event $25 registration + two events $30 registration + three events Age Group for 2022-2023 Cadets born between 2006-2009 Junior born between 2003-2009 COVID-19 Safety Precautions: We encourage everyone to take temperature and oxygen level intake at arrival time. Everyone has the option to wear a face mask inside the facility. Everyone engaging in any fencing activity must wash their hands and/ or use hand sanitizer before, during, and after training and competition. Each student is assigned his/ her own fencing gear (mask, glove, and uniform). The student is responsible for his/ her own electrical equipment. Rental equipment is available. Athletes should bring their own personal bottles of water (water fountain ONLY available for refill). Bottles of water are available for $.25 each. Stay home if you are feeling sick. The fencing center and equipment get cleaned periodically during training and competitions.
