RCFC Developmental Summer Series #1

For both foil events, registration closes at 11:00 A.M. For the epee event, registration closes at 2:00 P.M. Fencing will begin shortly after close of registration. Entry fee is $20, payable in cash, card, or put on your Rain City account at the door. USA Fencing membership is not required, but Rain City Fencing Center membership is required. All fencers must be members of Rain City Fencing Center to participate. Face coverings are required, per USA Fencing policy. Full regulation uniform, including underarm protector, fencing pants, and long socks, is required. Chest protectors are still required for female fencers, optional for male fencers. This equipment is available for RCFC students to borrow or purchase for the tournament. Event format will follow a common USA Fencing tournament format. There will be one round of pools with 5 touch bouts, 100% promotion from pools to direct elimination, followed by 15 touch direct elimination bouts. There will be pizza arriving midway through the tournament. Age eligibility: Senior Mixed Foil and Epee events will be open to all fencers born in 2008 or earlier. Y12 Mixed Foil event will be open to all fencers born in 2009 or later. If there are fewer than 6 fencers in the Y12 foil or senior foil events, they will be combined into a single event.
