We invite all our favorite people to join West Berkeley Fencing Club and the West Coast Fencing Archive in celebrating our coach Charles Selberg on Sunday June 12th 2022! After the longest collective medical time-out, we are cautiously excited to present The 6th Annual(ish) Selberg Memorial Foil Tournament for veterans aged 50 and up. We’ll be serving refreshments outside in our garden and (vaccinated, symptom-free) friends and family are encouraged to come along. Entries will be limited to 21 so please pre-register. We’ll accept payment, 30USD or equivalent, at the door in the form of cash, check, credit, and/or excellent libations. Prepared to be carded! You’ll need your proof of full vaccination, a photo ID, and a current USA Fencing membership to compete. Prepare to be masked! We’re keeping our facemasks in place while indoors. Preregistration opens on 05/11/2022. Preregistration closes on 06/06/2022. COVID Fine Print: Proof of Vaccination: Individuals who have completed a COVID vaccine series (Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Novavak, Sinovac, Sinopharm, Covaxin, or CoronaVac) 14 days prior to June 12th 2022 will NOT need to obtain a negative PCR or antigen test result. All attendees of the tournament who have been approved for a medical or religious exemption by the USA Fencing National Office must provide their approval email received from the National Office, as well as a negative PCR test result within 72 hours, to enter West Berkeley. This includes athletes and staff, as well as all coaches and spectators. Proof of your vaccination, or negative COVID-19 test result and exemption must be presented for entrance. Facemasks: All participants in USA Fencing sanctioned events, including coaches, athletes, spectators and staff, MUST wear a facemask that covers mouth and nose at all times, including during competition. Social Distancing: Everyone should practice proper social distancing measures at all times while in the venue. Handshakes: Athletes are to salute at the conclusion of a bout and touch blades in lieu of shaking hands with each other, the referee or coaches. Sorry, we cannot allow entrance to anyone who does not follow these guidelines.
