The Annual Conomikes-Gutenberg Open will be held on Feb 26/27 at the W&M Adair Gym, located at 251 Ukrop Way, Williamsburg. The William & Mary Fencing Club has organized this event with the VA Division, and the division promises a well run college club event with highly rated referees and bout committee. Events will be competed on a gym floor with strips taped out. $30 per event fee must be paid in advance here on AskFred. Unpaid preregistrations will be deleted after registration close date of 02/24/2022. Requests to be added to the event after tournament close MAY BE DECLINED, due to space or referee limitations. SATURDAY 9AM Senior Mixed Foil 11:30 Div3 Mixed Epee 2PM Senior Mixed Saber SUNDAY 9AM Senior Mixed Epee 11:30 Div3 Mixed Foil 2PM Div3 Mixed Saber PROOF OF VACCINATION/NEGATIVE COVID Test Required for All Virginia Division Sanctioned Events The VA Division of USA Fencing requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test (3rd party test required, NO home tests) for all fencers, parents, volunteers and USFA Professional members for that event to be sanctioned by the Virginia Division. Confirmation of vaccination or negative COVID test will occur as you walk into the venue. No one without proof will be allowed into the venue at any time, no exceptions. Negative COVID test results (PCR or Rapid) cannot be more than 72 hours old from the day of the event the fencer is competing in. USA Fencing’s venue mask mandate is also still in effect, so all competitors, coaches, professional members will be required to wear a mask OVER THEIR NOSES, even while competing. WARNINGS will be officially issued by Bout Committee for people who do not comply. A 2nd warning will result in a BLACK CARD which will require you to leave the venue immediately. Preregistration opens on 01/24/2022. Preregistration closes on 02/24/2022.
