CenCal Y14 Summer Nationals Qualifier

Central California Divisional Y14 Summer National Qualifiers The Y14 Qualifier is an event for Y14 fencers who wish to qualify for the Y14 Summer National Championship and have not already done so through the NAC/SYC/RYC events. The top 25% qualify in each event with a minimum of 3 fencers qualifying. In case of 12 or fewer participants, there will be fence-off for 3rd place. As this is a National Championship Qualifier, fencers must be US citizens or permanent US residents to participate in this tournament and the Summer National Championships. Your USA Fencing membership must indicate Central California Division and that you represent the USA. Please bring your USFA membership card and a government issued ID to verify your eligibility to fence in this event in case it is not yet verified by the USFA. Events to be fenced: Sunday, April 24: Y14 MS 8:00 am Y14 WS 8:00 am Y14 ME 10:00 am Y14 WE 8:00 am Y14 MF 2:00 pm Y14 WF 2:00 pm Competition Format: One round of seeding pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination; for 12 or fewer fencers, third place qualifying spot will be fenced off. The Y14 events are for birth years 2007-2010, unless the fencer is on the National Youth 12 Point List as of the entry deadline for this tournament. Tournament Fees: Registration and payment is through AskFred. Regular fee registration period ends at 11:59pm on 04/17/2022. Regular Registration fee: $10, Event fee: $40 Double fee registration period ends at 11:59pm on 04/22/2022. Double Fee Registration fee: $20 Event fee: $80 Upon the approval of the Bout Committee, registration at the door is only with triple fees (registration - $30, event - $120.) Cash or check "Made out to Central California Division USFA" only accepted. (no credit card) Please note that unpaid preregistrations do not count as completed and may be periodically deleted. Refunds: In the case that you pre-pay, and then must withdraw, the following is the refund policy: All refund requests must be received by April 17 @ 11:59pm. After April 17 - no refunds for whatever reason. Please use the email link provided above. Please indicate the name of the fencer, the Event they are withdrawing from, the name the check should be made out to and the mailing address. Refund checks are mailed after the tournament within 4-6 weeks. Registration fees are not refundable. Event fees - full refund minus $5 processing fees. No refunds if the event wasn't fenced due to insufficient number of participants COVID-19 Protocol: All USFencing COVID policies at the time of competition will be enforced. Masks are required. Proof of vaccination, OR negative PCR COVID test result taken within 48 hours is required. Do not come to the venue if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or any other illness.
