55th Annual Green Gator

See More Info. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ALL FENCERS MUST HAVE CURRENT USA FENCING COMPETITIVE MEMBERSHIP. WALK-IN POLICY: Fencers who did not register by Friday, 2/11, and still wish to compete may do so for increased fees: First event $50, subsequent events $40. PREPAYMENT: Prepayment through AskFred will be required. All preregistrations that have not prepaid through AskFred will be deleted the night of 2/11, and walk-in rates will be charged to anyone who has not prepaid by that time. REFUND POLICY: There will be no refunds offered after February 9th!!! EVENT CAPS: All events will be capped at 70. MASK POLICY: Following the University of Florida and UF Health guidelines a face mask or cloth face covering will be required everywhere on campus except when in a private office, a work area away from others or in well-ventilated outdoor areas where people are separated by at least 6 feet. People not using a face mask or covering (outside of the exceptions noted) will be asked to put one on or leave the area to help maintain the safety of our faculty, staff and students. WAIVER POLICY: In accordance with UF policies, the Green Gator 2022 Waiver MUST be filled out by all competitors. WEAPON AND EQUIPMENT CHECK: We will check for masks and gloves for all three weapons. Saber fencers must use an 800N glove as per USA Fencing regulation. We will check mask strap elasticity. ELIMINATION: Epee events only may be cut after pools. Cut will be between 20-30%, depending on event size. OFFICIALS: All referees for all events are certified and rated officials. If you wish to referee, please contact UF Fencing at fencing.uf@gmail.com. PARKING AND VENUE: On the weekends, all parking is open in the Southwest Recreation Center lot, as well as the Commuter Lot across the road. The venue is basketball courts 5 and 6, with a fencing-specific entrance on the North side of the building. FOOD AND DRINK: Food and drink with the exception of water is NOT permitted inside the gym. Food and drinks other than water may be kept and consumed outside in the picnic area. This is the policy of the gym space we are using.
