Payment – Tournament will be full pre-pay on AskFred. $20 registration fee will be non-refundable. Event fee will be refundable until Wednesday, 6/2.
Equipment Check – Will be held in the hallway outside the club. Armourer will be wearing mask, face shield and gloves. He will sanitize the gloves after handling each fencer’s gear.
Strip assignments will be done prior to the tournament so fencers will know which room they are assigned.
Bag storage – Fencers should come to the tournament dressed in their base layer of fencing gear. Fencers will be encouraged to use a strip bag only. Spaces that are 6’ apart are marked out in the front area of the club. Once those 8 spaces are taken, the remaining fencers will be allowed to take their fencing bag into one of the fencing rooms as long as they keep it close to their chair.
FENCERS MAY ONLY BRING A PLUS ONE. The plus one may be a coach/parent/etc. Chairs will be appropriately spaced out around each fencing room and must stay where they are placed. Chairs will be wiped down between events. Coaches may go on strip during one minute breaks in DEs as long as they are wearing a mask.
Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the club.
Bout Committee – Will wear mask and gloves and will be behind countertop plexiglass shields.
Referees – Will wear mask and gloves and may be wearing a face shield. Fencers may request that the referee sanitize their gloves before performing equipment check.
All postings will be online via FencingTimeLive, there will be no paper postings. Referee will show the score sheet to each fencer for verbal approval.
Containers of wipes will be placed at each end of the strips for fencers to use to wipe down the reel plugs as desired.
Fencers will not shake hands, but appropriately acknowledge their opponent at the end of each bout with a salute.
Restrooms will remain open and will be sanitized throughout each day.
Vending machine will be available for the purchase of drinks and will be sanitized throughout the day. No other snacks will be available.
Ceiling fans will be turned on and the back door will be propped open for ventilation barring severe weather.
The event schedule allows for ample time for fencers from one event to leave the building before the fencers from the next event will be allowed to enter. Fencers will be given 15 minutes to leave the building after their event is over.
Awards – Awards will be given out in the bigger fencing room with 6’ between the fencers.
