The Fencing Club at the University of Tennessee Knoxville would like to welcome you to the 2020 Volunteer Open -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **SCHEDULE OF EVENTS** Saturday, February 8, 2020 Mixed Open Epee - 9:00 AM Mixed Open Sabre - 12:00 PM Mixed Div3 Epee - 1:30 PM Mixed Div3 Sabre - 3:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2020 Mixed Open Foil - 9:00 AM Mixed Div3 Foil - 1:00 PM **Denotes close of registration for each event. Events will start approximately 15-20 minutes after the close of registration. All events with more than 80 participants will be subject to 80% promotion from pools. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ENTRY FEES Registration: $25 Event Fee: $20 Preregister on askFRED by February 3rd 2020 for regular fees; all registrations on FRED after this date will result in double registration fees. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- MORE INFORMATION Current USA Fencing Competitive, Coaching, or Collegiate Competitive memberships are required to compete. We will have forms available should you need to renew or sign up for your membership. All USA Fencing rules regarding equipment will be enforced. We will be checking masks, gloves, lames, and chest protectors. All fencers competing in the sabre events must have an 800N FIE approved glove to compete, all fencers using chest protectors must use protectors in compliance to latest SEMI changes and bear the FIE stamp. FOOD AND DRINK: NO food and drinks are allowed in the TRECS gym with the exception of water. This is the policy of the facility and it will be strictly enforced. PARKING AND VENUE: On the weekends there is free parking in the Student Aquatic Center lot next to the venue. There is also free street parking along Volunteer Boulevard as well as the parking lot in front of the Haslam Music Center. The Music Center lot is a little walking distance to the venue. Please e-mail the organizer or fencing@utk.edu for more information about complementary housing. All referees hired for the event are USA Fencing Certified officials.
