**** UPDATE #1: May 2, 2019 *****
UCSB Alum Charles Astudillo will referee. Charles is a very well-known ref, and he is always happy to answer questions about rules and right of way. Actually, the questions don't even have to be about rules and right of way! He's just always happy!
Also, Sam Signorelli will be onsite vending and armoring.
Welcome to UC Santa Barbara: "Olé! Olé! Olé! Gauchos!" This year, the UCSB Fencing team is running a fundraiser 3-weapon open.
This tournament is a fundraiser in support of the UCSB Fencing Team's travel to Collegiate National Championships every Spring. We're a little late to the pre-registration party, but that's OK. Life in Santa Barbara is pretty relaxed and fun, and so is this tournament.
All USFA rules regarding equipment and safety will be strictly enforced. Participants must show proof of USFA membership if they are not included in the USFA database by May 5. Membership may be purchased at the event.
Events are for Seniors -- meaning participants must be born in 2005 or earlier (or be on the appropriate NRP lists). Athletes may register for multiple events, but we may have to limit cross-over to two events if attendance is high.
Pools will likely be self-reffed. But really, can anyone think of a any better way for us all to get to know each other. :-)
Please register on FRED in advance of the event. Those wishing to register the day of will be charged $25 extra. Registration doesn't close until 5/10/19. There are no excuses for not signing up!
Events are $25/each, payable by cash or check at the door.

Mixed Epee: tentatively scheduled for 12 pm
Mixed Saber: tentatively scheduled for 1:30 pm
