Registrations after April 24, 2019 are considered late and face a doubling in fees per event. All fees are to be paid at the door, CASH, CHEQUE OR DEBIT ONLY. NO CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED . Cheques should be payable to "Vango Toronto Fencing Inc". EVENT FEES $40 per event if registration is received by April 24, 2019 at midnight. Registrations received after April 24, 2019 at midnight will incur double fees: $80 per event. COMPETITION AGE CATEGORIES Competition age categories will be enforced according to the CFF Age Category Definitions. Fencers must be at most 8, 10, 12, or 14 years of age as of December 31, 2018 to participate in the U9(Y8), U11(Y10), U13(Y12), and U15(Y14) events, respectively. https://www.fencing.ca/content/competition-age-categories COMPETITION FORMAT At least one round of pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination tableau. GENERAL INFORMATION The Vango Young Tigers Cup is sanctioned by the Ontario Fencing Association and the Canadian Fencing Federation. This competition is a JFF (Just For Fun) competition, and results will not be submitted for any ranking purposes. This competition will be run according to current FIE regulations. The Directoire Technique reserves the right to apply or modify these regulations as they see fit as according to section t.15 of the FIE Rules. All participants are required to have an active CFF Fencing License or an equivalent license from the participant's home institute. You may purchase/renew your license via the Canadian Fencing Federation website. http://fencing.ca/purchase-a-cff-licence/ USFA members must show a valid USFA membership card. Please enter your USFA membership number in the "CFF License" field. All fencers are REQUIRED to wear a sous plastron and fencing pants with long socks so that the legs are fully protected. Track pants will not be permitted as substitutions for fencing pants. U11 Events: Size 2 blades or smaller will be required for all U11 events. All foil fencers participating in the U15, and U13 foil events are required to have a conductive foil bib. Conductive foil bibsare not required for U11 foil events. The new soft overlay chest protectors are not specifically required for this competition, although they will be required for future competitions. All fencers using the Leon Paul X-Change mask are required to have a two-point retention system. All masks must be in good condition, with enough retention in the back strap and tongue to ensure that the mask is a snug fit on the fencer's head. This competition does not specifically require masks with the new fastening system as outlined in the Materials Rulebook published in December 2017. Events with less than six (6) registrants may be combined with the same event of the opposite gender. Participants that enter in multiple events may be required to fence multiple bouts without breaks. Should conflicts arise, participants may be asked to withdraw from an event.
