Central California Divisional Y14, Division 2/3 and Veterans Summer National Qualifiers This tournament is the qualification path for "Central California" fencers ONLY who wish to compete in the Division 2 or Division 3 Summer National events and who have not already qualified for Div 2/3 or VET through a ROC event or respective NAC's. This Div 2/3 event qualifies fencers for both Div 2 and Div 3 and VET championship events, based on placement and rating of the fencers. The top 25% qualify in each event with a minimum of 3 fencers qualifying. In case of 12 or fewer participants, there will be fence-off for 3rd place. Open only on to Central California Division Fencers with a C, D, E or U and current competitive USFA membership. As this is a National Championship Qualifier, fencers must be US citizens or permanent US residents to participate in this tournament and the Summer National Championships. Your USA Fencing membership must indicate Central California Division and that you represent the USA. Please bring your USFA membership card and a government issued ID to verify your eligibility to fence in this event in case it is not yet verified by the USFA. Events to be fenced: Sunday, May 5: Div2/3 Senior Men's Epee Div2/3 Senior Women's Epee Div2/3 Senior Men's Foil Div2/3 Senior Women's Foil Div2/3 Senior Women's Saber Div2/3 Senior Men's Saber Competition Format One round of seeding pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination; for 12 or fewer fencers, third place qualifying spot will be fenced off. "Senior" refers to a USFA requirement that all fencers participating in open events must have birth years of 2005 and earlier or have Junior national points. National age eligibility requirements will be enforced; however, fencers with points in the next lower age category who do not otherwise meet age eligibility are allowed to fence; e-mail us to request addition to the competition. As askFred will not be able to accept the prepregistartion and payment, please bring a check with the competition fees to the tournament with the fee per schedule below (based on the date of your request). Tournament Fees Registration and payment is through AskFred. Regular fee registration period ends at 11:59pm on 04/20/2018. Registration fee: $10 Event fee: $40 Double fee registration period ends at 11:59pm on 04/28/2019. Registration fee: $20 Event fee: $80 After that the registration is only at the door with triple fees (registration - $30, event - $120), with cash or check only payment (no credit card) Please note that unpaid preregistrations do not count as completed and will be periodically deleted. Refunds: In the case that you pre-pay, and then must withdraw, the following is the refund policy: All refund requests must be received by April 30. Refunds requested between May 1 and 3 will be given only with verifiable medical reason. After May 3 - no refunds for whatever reason. Please use the email link provided above. Please indicate the name and the address to mail the check to. Refund checks are mailed after the tournament within 4 weeks. Registration fees are not refundable.
