Murphy's Irish City Open 5

Announcing the 5th Annual "Murphy's Irish City Open". Pittsburgh's longest running individual Fencing competition. The tournament will feature Mixed Open events in all 3 weapons, as well as an E & Under mixed Foil to commemorate the late, great Coach Murphy. "Murphy's Irish City Open" is an Irish themed competition. The venue, music, entertainment, and awards will all have a St. Patrick's day vibe. Fencers, Coaches and patrons are not required to wear green, although it's definitely encouraged! The 2019 event will have a live Irish Broadsword demonstration, As well as a few other surprises. There is street parking, and a few small lots available near the Corsair Fencing venue. You will see parking meters, but please don't feed them! Parking is free on weekends. IF registered on FRED, the first event will be $35.00, each additional event will be $20.00 If you do not register on FRED, the first event will be $45.00 and each additional event will be $25.00. There will be tournament food, sports drinks and protein bars available. If you want to venture out, Corsair Fencing is located next to multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and more. Ask one of the event planners about where to go if you have a craving. Make sure that you have an up to date USFA Membership card. It can be printed out, or have a screenshot on your phone upon check in. Finally, don't fear the word "Senior" if you were born in 2005 or before. If you were born after 2005, sadly you cannot compete in this event.
