53rd Annual Green Gator

First event $30, subsequent events $25. Officially sanctioned. The preregistration deadline for this event is 2/1/2019. If you wish to attend the event past this deadline, at the door pricing is $50 for the first event, $40 for the second. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ALL FENCERS MUST HAVE CURRENT USFA COMPETITIVE MEMBERSHIP. WEAPON AND EQUIPMENT CHECK: We will check for masks and gloves for all three weapons. Saber fencers must use an 800N glove as per USFA regulation. We will check mask strap elasticity. REMINDER: In accordance with new rules for USFA sanctioned events, all Foil fencers who wear chest protectors must have the following characteristics: The entire outside of the chest protector (the side facing the opponent) must be covered with a soft material such as E.V.A. (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) of four mm thickness and density of 22kg/m3. More information can be found at http://www.refereescommission.org. FOOD AND DRINK: Food and drink with the exception of water is NOT permitted inside the gym. Food and drinks other than water may be kept and consumed outside in the picnic area. All referees for all events are certified and rated officials. PARKING AND VENUE: On the weekends, all parking is open in the Southwest Recreation Center lot, as well as the Commuter Lot across the road. The venue is basketball courts 5 and 6, with a fencing-specific entrance on the North side of the building. COLLEGE STUDENTS: The University of Florida Fencing Team happily welcomes all collegiate fencers from across the southeastern region.
