Come join us for the California State Fencing Champs! No more than 2 events per person, and you must be a current high school student. Please bring school ID and proof of USFA membership.

Come join us for the California State High School Fencing Championships. **This event is a recognized high school event by USFA. You will be eligible to earn USA Fencing classifications (ratings). No more than 2 events per person and must be a current High School student (9th to 12 grade). Please bring school ID and proof of USFA competitive or USFA high school membership. Each High School is restricted to the top 4 fencers per event. Fencers must reside and go to high school in California. (Must bring School ID or proof of enrollment) Location: Chaminade High School - Uribe Sports Center 7500 Chaminade Ave. West Hills, CA 90304 Registration Fees: (Cash or Check to be paid at tournament) $10 fee per event for fencers from league schools. $40 fee per event for fencers from non-league schools. Awards will be given based on individual placement and overall school placement. Events Scheduled: 9:00AM Men's Epee ** 9:30AM Women's Saber ** 10:00AM Women's Foil 11:30AM Women's Epee 12:30PM Men's Foil 1:30PM Men's Saber Equipment: A full fencing Jacket (FIE not required), a plastron, a glove, and fencing knickers. Socks must cover all the leg not covered by the knickers. Women's equipment must include breast protectors made of metal or rigid material inside the jacket. The appropriate glove, lame and mask for the weapon being fenced are required. Please wear shoes with "non-marking" or white soles to all competitions. All foil fencers must have a conductive foil bib on their mask, and all saber fencers must use a USFA Fencing approved 800N glove. Inspections: Masks and gloves will be inspected by the armorer. Weapons will be tested on the strip. You will not be allowed to fence with weapons that do not conform to USFA standards. Format: There will be one round of pools with 100% advancing to direct elimination in all individual competitions. The direct elimination bouts will be fifteen touch bouts, with the appropriate breaks determined by which weapon is being fenced. Preregistration opens on 9/10/2018. Preregistration closes on 05/18/2019.
