San Diego Junior Olympic Qualifiers

This is a qualifier event for San Diego Division fencers only. Events Scheduled: Cadet (U17) Women's Epee Cadet (U17) Women's Foil Cadet (U17) Women's Saber Cadet (U17) Men's Epee Cadet (U17) Men's Foil Cadet (U17) Men's Saber Junior (U20) Women's Epee Junior (U20) Women's Foil Junior (U20) Women's Saber Junior (U20) Men's Epee Junior (U20) Men's Foil Junior (U20) Men's Saber Preregistration opens on 09/02/2018. Preregistration closes on 12/01/2018. Tournament Format: Standard - Single round of pools, 100% promotion to single Direct elimination table. Only fencers registered with the San Diego Division may participate in this event. If there are fewer than 12 fencers in an event, the top 3 fencers will qualify for their events. If there are more than 12, the top 25% of finishers will qualify for their respective events, skipping only those eligible through National rankings (not regional rankings or a previous qualifying event). There will be diplomas for fencers that qualify for the Junior Olympics at the event. Equipment Check: Full equipment controls will be performed. We will be checking masks, gloves, bodycords, and lames. Volunteers: Please help us run the events even smoother by volunteering. Fencers and supporters alike will benefit from learning the process from start to finish. This knowledge will assuredly give you a competitive edge. Fencers: Please bring proof of current USA Fencing membership or register on-site. Entry fee is $20 if pre-registered or $25 for walk-in. Mask and glove checks are mandatory.
