2018 Falcon Open Hosted by the United States Air Force Academy LOCATION: USAFA Cadet Gymnasium, Center Gym SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: The venue and weapons check will open at 8:00 AM each day. Times listed below indicate the close of registration/check-in for each specific event. Doors Open each day at 8:30 AM. Saturday, November 17 9:30 AM: Senior Men's Epee 10:00 AM: Senior Men's Foil 10:30 AM: Senior Men's Sabre 12:30 PM: Junior Men's Epee 1:30 PM: Junior Men's Foil 1:30 PM: Junior Men's Sabre 1:30 PM: Y12 Men’s Epee 1:30 PM: Y12 Women’s Epee Sunday, November 18 9:30 AM: Senior Women's Epee 9:30 AM: Y14 Men’s Epee 9:30 AM: Y14 Women’s Epee 10:30 AM: Senior Women's Foil 11:00 AM: Senior Women's Sabre 12:00 PM: Junior Women's Foil 1:30 PM: Junior Women's Epee 2:00 PM: Junior Women's Sabre Age Classifications: Y12 = 2006-2009 (or on Y10 NRPS) Y14 = 2004-2007 (or on Y12 NRPS) Junior = 1999-2005 (or on Cadet NRPS) Senior = Born 2005 or earlier REGISTRATION: Entry Fee: $40 fee per event. Preregister on askFRED, then pay on the day of the competition (cash or check, sorry no credit cards). A separate registration and payment for each event is required. (If a fencer wants to fence in 2 events, 2 checks are required.) CONTROL CHECKS: Masks and body cords will be checked by the armorers. All other equipment will be tested on the strip. USFA RULES: All USFA rules will be enforced in the tournament. Please bring proof of current USFA membership, or you will not be allowed to compete. COMPETITION FORMAT: Standard USFA pool format with 100% advancing to direct elimination with no repechage. QUESTIONS: abdel.salem@usafa.edu
