The USFA WWD presents the 2018 Leon Auriol Memorial Open September 29-30, 2018 at Salle Auriol Seattle The Leon Auriol Open is a Western Washington tradition dating back to 1982. Founded by Maitre Leon Auriol himself, this event has consistently been attended by the best fencers in the Pacific Northwest. NEW this year... we've added Veteran Epee events! We will be running on a strict schedule so your promptness is appreciated. --- Registration Information --- Registration is $30 plus $30 per event entered and must be pre-paid. The registration & payment deadline is 11:59pm PDT on WEDNESDAY, September 26th. If you miss the deadline, you will be subject to DOUBLE fees. A: Yes, you can still sign up on AskFRED at double fees. If you pay at the door, the fees will be triple. Q: I missed the registration deadline, can you make an exception and let me pay the normal rate? A: No, the event has been accepting registrations on AskFRED since August so you had plenty of time to register on-time. Q: Can I pre-register and pay later? A: Sort-of. Pre-register on AskFRED like you normally would, but skip the payment screen. This will add you to the list of registrants, but note that you have not yet paid. You can pay later (before the deadline) by simply going through the registration process on AskFRED again. Q: I don't want to pre-pay until I'm certain I can attend. A: If you pre-pay and are unable to attend, we will give you a refund of your event fees. Registration fees are non-refundable. Q: How do I get a refund? A: Submit a refund request using the form on the WWD website (www.wwdfencing.com) Q: Can I fence more than one event per day? A: Yes, but not simultaneously. Please join or renew your USFA membership online prior to arrival. Fencers representing a country other than the USA must have a USA Fencing "Foreign Fencer" membership. This FREE membership (which gives you a USA Fencing member number) must be renewed yearly on the USA Fencing website. See https://www.usafencing.org/page/show/698114-individual-membership for details. Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed. Saber fencers must have an 800N glove. USFA rules require that all participants were born in 2005 or earlier. --- Equipment Check --- Please arrive early to allow time for equipment checks.
