This will be a great time to re-wire that blade of yours, or perhaps to purchase some new equipment. http://www.homfencing.com For persons coming to the referee clinic, we recommend the South Coast Inn, Motel 6, and the Super 8 -- all of which are in Goleta, and very close to the venue. You can find all three hotels with a Google search. They all have rooms available. Olé! Olé! Gauchos!" This year, the UCSB Fencing team is running a fundraiser 3-weapons open. This tournament is a fundraiser in support of the UCSB Fencing Team's travel to Collegiate National Championships every Spring. All USFA rules regarding equipment and safety will be strictly enforced. Participants must show proof of USFA membership if they are not included in the USFA database by May 5. Membership may be purchased at the event. Events are for Seniors -- meaning participants must be born in 2004 or earlier (or be on the appropriate NRP lists). Athletes may register for multiple events, but we may have to limit cross-over to two events if attendance is high. We will have prizes for winners in all events. Registration Entry Fee is $25/event with registration on FRED. $45/event without FRED registration. College students get a $5 discount on registration per event. Bring your current college ID and show it when you register. FRED registration extended to 05/15/2018 at midnight. Events Scheduled: Mixed Foil: 9:30 am Mixed Epee: 11:30 am Mixed Saber: 1:30 pm Location and Parking The Olé Open will be held in the UCSB Robertson Gym, Main Floor. Parking is available in Lot 16 and is $4 for the day.
