Brooklyn Fencing C & Under / E & Under Foil May

Registration Closes at midnight the WEDNESDAY before the event. Events Scheduled (close of registration): C & Under Senior Mixed Foil 10:00 AM E & Under Mixed Foil 2:00 PM The above times are NOT start times! Events generally start fencing about 30 minutes after close of registration. First event of the day may start sooner. WAITING LIST: Events are limited to 28 fencers; if pre-registration is full, email info@brooklynfencing.com and ask to be added to the waitlist. We will do our best to let you know if you have a spot by Friday prior to the event. Conversely, if you are signed up and realize you won't make it, please let us know so we can accommodate waitlisted fencers. Entry & Eligibility $45 pre-registered; if your name appears on AskFred's list, you pay $45 cash/check at the door. Brooklyn Fencing members, register and pay at the club for a $5 discount. $65 walk-ins at the door. We encourage you to pre-register. Cash/check only day-of; no credit cards accepted for entry fees. You must belong to USA Fencing or another FIE federation with proof of membership in order to compete. Join or renew at http://member.usfencing.org/ Print your membership card from the website or take a picture of it with your phone. Barcoded luggage tag is not valid proof of membership for local events as it does not show expiry. National age eligibility requirements will be enforced; however, fencers with points in the next lower age category who do not otherwise meet age eligibility are allowed to fence; e-mail info@brooklyfencing.com to request addition to the competition. (For instance, a fencer with Y14 points will be allowed to fence Cadets.) This is a USA Fencing and Metropolitan Division sanctioned event. Ratings will be awarded where earned. Competition Format One round of seeding pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination LOCATION 600 Degraw Street (between 3rd & 4th Ave) Second Floor - Closest train is the R at Union Street, three blocks away. PARKING INFO: If you have trouble finding street parking (which you may not, we're just covering the bases), there are several lots on 4th Ave south of Degraw and one on Union Street between 6th & 7th Aves (http://nycparking.spplus.com/Brooklyn-798-800-Union-Street.html#Tab_coupon-rates).
